From October 6 to 19, 2025, the launch event of Mission Curius took place in Barcelona.
The event was held across several of the city’s most significant cultural landmarks — the Museum of the History of Barcelona and the El Born Cultural Centre, which serves as a kind of portal between two eras, the past and the present; and the Royal Academy of Medicine, which for centuries has stood as a temple of science dedicated to exploring the nature and potential of the Human Being.
The opening of the project brought together representatives from various fields of science, art, and social practice from 12 countries.
🔹 The first act featured a live report from the landing site of the expedition, with the presentation of its members, objectives, and route.
🔹 The second act was the report by the expedition’s leader — “The Hidden Human”, offering an unprecedented “outside perspective” on humankind and human civilization.
🔹 The third act was the Consilium, held in the form of a jury trial, “The People vs. The Hidden Human,” in which the verdict depended on the decision of each participant.
By an overwhelming majority, the assembly voted to support Mission Curius, which can thus be congratulated on a most successful beginning.
